Family Medicine, USF-Morton Plant Mease
Dr. Lawrence determined in a high school biology class that she wanted to pursue a career in medicine. While in medical school, she initially intended to pursue pediatrics, but soon found that it was the variety and continuity of family medicine that she loved best.
She entered the USF-MPM Family Medicine Residency, where she served as Chief Resident in her third year. After completing her residency, she joined the faculty of the USF-MPM Family Medicine Residency. This enables her to remain in a stimulating academic environment, provide indigent care for the community, and still be a primary care provider. Dr. Lawrence's professional interests include pediatrics, women's health and medical student education.
Working part time enables Dr. Lawrence to spend more quality time with her two children and her husband. She enjoys running and reading.
