BayCare Health System Hosts Health Insurance Marketplace Enrollment Event On February 27
BayCare’s Health Insurance Navigators at Mease Countryside Hospital to Assist the Community with Individual Enrollment
CLEARWATER, Fla. (February 5, 2014) – BayCare Health System’s Health Insurance Navigators will be at an upcoming enrollment event for those interested in signing up for the Health Insurance Marketplace. The enrollment event will be on February 27, 2014, from 12 to 6 p.m. in the Mease Countryside Hospital lobby, located at 3231 McMullen Booth Rd., Safety Harbor, FL.
Health Insurance Navigators will be on site to offer free one-on-one assistance to the public in reviewing health care plans and enrolling in the Health Insurance Marketplace. The navigators will be able to provide general information and individual assistance in both English and Spanish.
BayCare’s Health Insurance Navigators are trained to provide unbiased information in a culturally competent manner to consumers about health insurance, the new Health Insurance Marketplace, qualified health plans, and public programs including Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program.

BayCare Health System has five Health Insurance Navigators located at various hospitals within the health system and offers free counseling services to anyone seeking an affordable health care plan. Navigators are funded through a federal grant awarded to the University of South Florida (USF) to help consumers shop for and enroll in the Health Insurance Marketplace. Announced earlier this year, BayCare received funding through the grant which runs through USF’s Florida Covering Kids and Families (FL-CKF). The Navigators are part of BayCare’s financial assistance team.
