Morton Plant Mease and Red Hot Mamas Present “Get Your Groove Back”
CLEARWATER, Fla., (Oct. 17, 2013) - Morton Plant Mease is partnering with the Red Hot Mamas to feature a national expert on women’s health issues who will present “Get Your Groove Back,” a free program aimed at women experiencing postmenopausal symptoms, at 6 p.m. on Wednesday Nov. 6, 2013, at the Aging Well Center at The Long Center, Grand Room, 1501 N Belcher Road, Clearwater.
Susan Wysocki, a women’s health nurse practitioner and a nationally recognized expert in the field of women’s health, is coming to the area through a partnership between Morton Plant Mease and the Red Hot Mamas, the largest menopause education group in North America.
Local menopause expert Dr. Stephanie Van Zandt, an OB/GYN and a founder of Contemporary Women’s Care in Clearwater and Seminole, will introduce Wysocki.
The event is intended to be a fun night out for women and their friends to enjoy light hors d’oeuvres, and learn about treatments for common postmenopausal symptoms, and other issues.
Wysocki is president of iWomen’s Health, a web site in development that will focus on providing insight, information, and connections between women, their health care providers, and experts in women’s health.
She is editor of Women’s Health Care: A Practical Journal for Nurse Practitioners, and she is on the editorial boards of American Nurse, and Contraception Technology Update. She was founder, president, and CEO of the National Association of Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health for nearly 25 years.
