Morton Plant Mease Kicks Off Month of the Woman With Girls Night Out

Fun and Educational Health Event at Pioneer Park

CLEARWATER, Fla., (April 4, 2013) – Morton Plant Mease’s Month of the Woman in May kicks off with Girls Night Out, a fun and educational health awareness event held on Thursday, May 2, 2013 at Pioneer Park, Dunedin.

From 6 – 8 p.m., women of all ages are invited to come out and enjoy the evening with Zumba fitness demonstrations, souvenir tea cup and tumbler painting, health screenings and Ask-A-Doc booths with experts in women’s health.

“Girls Night Out is a celebration of women and focusing on themselves for a change since many women put others first and their own care last,” says Marcia Albanese, director of women’s services at Morton Plant Mease. “This event allows women to ask the right questions about their own health care needs in a fun and casual environment.”

Complimentary health screenings will include blood pressure, blood sugar and cholesterol and Body Mass Index (BMI). Morton Plant Mease Wellness Centers will offer complimentary chair massages.

To register for Girls Night Out, call (727) 253-4110, or visit
