Morton Plant Mease Outpatient Center's Fall Into Good Health Fall Festival Supports Local Schools With Supplies Drive

TRINITY, Fla., (September 28, 2011) – With the school year in full swing and school supplies already dwindling, Morton Plant Mease Health Care wants to help local area schools replenish their school supplies by holding a supplies donation drive as part of its’ Fall Into Good Health community event on October, 14, 2011, 6- 8:30 p.m., at the Morton Plant Mease Outpatient Center at 2102 Trinity Oaks Blvd, Trinity, FL, 34655.

Several area schools have already provided their wish lists. Donations will be collected at the Fall Into Good Health event and participants are asked to write down the school’s name on the donated item to ensure the correct school receives the donation. The school with the most people donating items will receive a $500 gift card, compliments of Morton Plant Mease and Staples. All supplies collected will be delivered to each participating school after the event.

“Wish lists” for participating area schools:

Trinity Oaks Elementary School, Trinity: Half-inch white binders, colored copy paper, white copy paper and binder dividers.

Longleaf Elementary School, New Port Richey: Pencils, pencil sharpeners, pocket folders (solid rainbow colors), tissues and clipboards.

Brooker Creek Elementary School, Tarpon Springs: Pencils, erasers, 3-prong pocket folders, composition notebooks and wide-ruled spiral notebooks.

Seven Springs Middle School, New Port Richey: Pencils, tissues, hand sanitizer, wipes and Post-It notes.

East Lake High School, Tarpon Springs: Paper, pens, pencils, tissues and hand sanitizer.

Odessa Christian School, Odessa: Paper, pencils, crayons, scotch tape and glue sticks.

Athenian Academy of Pasco, New Port Richey: Pencils, pens, paper, construction paper and art supplies.

After dropping off school supplies, families can enjoy the event and family activities that include face painting, inflatables, mobile video game bus, pumpkin decorating, bingo games, balloon artists and complimentary snacks and beverages. Morton Plant Mease and St. Joseph’s North will also host a variety of free health screenings, health information, “Ask-A-Physician” booth and outpatient center tours.
