Morton Plant Mease's Red Hot Mamas Presents Hot Flashes 101 To Help Women Cool Off This Summer|
CLEARWATER, Fla., (July 28, 2011) - Morton Plant Mease's local Red Hot Mamas continues its'workshop series this month with Hot Flashes 101 on Saturday, August 20, 2011. Stephanie Van Zandt, MD, is back to inform women about everything they need to know about hot flashes during menopausal years.
Hot flashes affect up to 80% of women going through menopause and can disrupt sleep and can be very uncomfortable for women. The free workshop runs 10 a.m. to Noon at Morton Plant Hospital, Sarah Walker Women's Center, located at 300 Pinellas St., Clearwater, FL.
Menopause affects every woman with an estimated 6,500 women entering menopause a day in the United States. Dr. Van Zandt will discuss what causes hot flashes and latest information on treatment to help women stay cool.
