Dr. Sean Bryan Honored for Professional Achievements as Director of University of South Florida-Morton Plant Mease Family Medicine Program|
CLEARWATER, Fla., (July 25, 2011)- Sean T. Bryan, MD, has been honored by the Association of Family Medicine Residency Directors (AFMRD) for his achievements as the program director of the University of South Florida-Morton Plant Mease Family Medicine Residency Program.
Dr. Bryan was recently presented with a Silver Level 2011 Program Director Recognition Award in recognition of his accomplishments in tenure, training, performance and advocacy.
AFMRD represents more than 400 family medicine residency programs nationwide. Bronze, silver and gold levels of recognition are awarded based on the number of years the honoree has served as a program director. Bronze is earned after three years of service, silver for six and gold for nine. The 2011 award recipients were announced last month during the American Academy of Family Physicians' (AAFP) Workshop for Directors of Family Medicine Residencies held in Kansas City, Missouri.
In addition to serving as program director for the University of South Florida-Morton Plant Mease Family Medicine Residency & Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship, Dr. Bryan is a Fellow of the AAFP and holds the academic rank of affiliate associate professor of Family Medicine at the University of South Florida College of Medicine.
The University of South Florida-Morton Plant Mease Family Medicine Residency Program develops exemplary family physicians to provide high quality, patient-centered health care by emphasizing advanced science, technology, and leadership.
