Dr. Sean Bryan Appointed to AMSSM Board of Directors
CLEARWATER, Fla., (June 1, 2009)--Sean T. Bryan, MD, has been elected to the board of directors of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine (AMSSM). AMSSM is an organization of sports medicine physicians dedicated to providing comprehensive and quality care to active individuals. In his capacity as a board member, Dr. Bryan will participate in maintaining the vision of the organization and continue to promote and enhance the practice of sports medicine. During this year’s annual meeting, Dr. Bryan presented an update to the directors on changes in post-MD accreditation programs in the U.S.

Dr. Bryan is the program director for the University of South Florida-Morton Plant Mease Family Medicine Residency Program. The program is fully accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education and is located in the Turley Family Health Center in Clearwater, Florida. He is board certified in Family Medicine and Sports Medicine.

Earlier this year Dr. Bryan was appointed to Executive Board of the Southeast American College of Sports Medicine (SEACSM). He will focus on clinical support to health providers including primary care, orthopaedics, athletic training and physical therapy.
