Morton Plant Mease Names Director of Health Mangement Services|
CLEARWATER, Fla., (February 26, 2007) -Morton Plant Mease Health Care announces the appointment of Randi H. Ferrare, R.N., B.S.N., as director of Morton Plant Mease Health Management Services. Ferrare is responsible for leading the case management and social services areas for the health care system. She will coordinate planning, implementing and evaluating all activities and strategies related to health management services including leading a multi-disciplinary committee to continually assess clinical process improvements and delivery of quality health care services at Morton Plant Mease hospitals.

Ferrare has a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Temple University, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and is pursuing her master’s degree in health care administration. Prior to her position with Morton Plant Mease, Ferrare was an independent health care consultant. She also served as the Director of Medical Management for Aetna Health Plans in Phoenix, Arizona and as the Corporate Director for Clinical Resource and Quality Management at Allegheny Health Systems in Philadelphia. In Sellersville, Pennsylvania, Ferrare was the Director of Case Management and Quality Management for Grand View Hospital. In 2004, she was named Regional Director of Quality Management and Regulatory Compliance for Community Health Systems in Brentwood, Tennessee. In that position Ferrare oversaw nine hospitals and assisted in the development and implementation of strategic plans including those related to case management, patient safety, quality management, and nursing services.
Ferrare has worked as a nurse in the trauma unit of Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia. She is also a member of the Southern Pennsylvania Association for Healthcare Quality (SPAHQ) and an associate member of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE).
