Trinity Outpatient Center, a Morton Plant Mease Health Care Facility, to Expand its Campus|
New Medical Office Building to Provide Additional Primary & Specialty Health Care Services
NEW PORT RICHEY, Fla., (June 22, 2006) - Expanding on a decade of service to the West Pasco community, Morton Plant Mease Health Care is announcing the construction of a 36,000 square-foot medical office building on the campus of Trinity Outpatient Center.
"Trinity Outpatient Center, a Morton Plant Mease facility, is located in one of the fastest growing areas of the state and for the past 10 years we have provided high tech health care with a human touch," said John D. Couris, Morton Plant Mease vice president of health services and ambulatory care. "With a rapidly growing population, we saw an opportunity to provide the community with greater access and convenience to more specialized health care and outpatient services."
Anticipated to open to patients early next year, the medical office building will provide the community with access to additional primary care physicians and physicians specializing in health care services including orthopaedics, gastroenterology, pain management, obstetrics and gynecology. Services currently offered at Trinity Outpatient Center include:
* Cardiac services - electrocardiogram (ECG), echocardiogram (ECHO), stress testing
* Outpatient surgery
* Nuclear medicine
* Full service imaging including - x-rays, mammography, ultrasound, CAT scan, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), positron emission tomography (PET) - often used to detect cancer and to examine the effects of cancer therapy and DEXA scan - bone density testing
A core team of health care professionals that included Morton Plant Mease physicians and staff were consulted during the planning of the new medical office building.
"An extensive analysis of demographics, population, and input from our health care professionals provided valuable information to help design and develop a new facility that will expand and centralize health care services at the Trinity Outpatient Center location," said Couris.
The projected cost for the building is $7 million. The developer is the Graham Group, Inc. based in Des Moines, Iowa.
