Morton Plant North Bay Announces New Surgeon
NEW PORT RICHEY, Fla., (February 23, 2005) - Morton Plant North Bay Hospital announces the formation of North Bay Surgical Associates and the selection of Nancy J. Taft, MD as a new general surgeon to the hospital's medical staff.
"We are pleased to welcome Dr. Taft to our medical staff," said William M. Jennings, administrator and COO of Morton Plant North Bay Hospital. "She will be a great addition to our team and to the community."
Dr. Taft, a native of Illinois, specializes in colorectal, breast, endocrine and vascular surgery. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Southern Illinois University in 1986 and worked as a registered nurse until receiving her medical degree from Southern Illinois University in 1999. While completing her residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin, Dr. Taft gained surgical training and expertise at the Royal Devon and Exetor Hospital in England and conducted research on renal duplex scanning in patients with peripheral vascular disease.
