Wound Care

The Morton Plant Mease Wound Care Program provides standardized, clinically effective treatment for problem wounds. Patients who have slow or non-healing wounds can have the problem assessed and treated at one of our two wound care centers, which utilize the latest advanced equipment and procedures in a comfortable, tranquil environment.

Commonly treated wounds include:

Arterial ulcers
Diabetic (Neuropathic) ulcerations
Pressure ulcers
Surgical wounds
Traumatic injuries
Venous stasis ulcers

Our therapies include:

Wound debridement
Topicals and wound dressings
Compression therapy
Hyperbaric oxygen therapy
Physical therapy
VAC (Vacuum-assisted closure)

Diabetic wounds of the lower extremity
Carbon monoxide poisoning
Clostridial myonecrosis
Acute traumatic ischemias
Necrotizing soft tissue infections
Radiation tissue damage and osteoradionecrosis
Refractory osteomyelitis
Skin grafts, flaps and replants
