Lou Galdieri, MHA, BSN
President, Mease Countryside Hospital and Mease Dunedin Hospital
Currently serving as chief operating officer of Mease Dunedin Hospital and Mease Countryside Hospital, Lou Galdieri joined Morton Plant Mease in 2000 as a part-time nurse recruiter, advancing to director of planning shortly thereafter.
Mr. Galdieri began his career as a nurse more than 20 years ago, and came to Morton Plant Mease from Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia. There he held a variety of leadership and nursing positions including clinical director, perioperative services; director, patient and staff relations; director, professional services; manager, same-day admissions; staff nurse, post anesthesia care unit; and staff nurse, medical/surgical/urology.
Mr. Galdieri earned a master’s of science degree in health administration from Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia in 1999. He received his bachelor’s of science degree in nursing from LaSalle University in Philadelphia and a nursing diploma from the Community Medical Center School of Nursing in Scranton, Penn.
He has been published in several professional journals and received the 1995 Hospital Association of Pennsylvania Achievement Award for “Partnering for Customer Service.” He is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and the Florida Organization of Nurse Executives. Mr. Galdieri is also chairman of the board of directors for the Dunedin Chamber of Commerce.
