Morton Plant Hospital offers a full range of diagnostic imaging services on both an in-patient and out-patient basis. Our experienced team of radiologists is board-certified and many are sub-specialized in the areas of cardiology, neurology, oncology, orthopedics and women’s health.

The following BayCare imaging centers reside on the Morton Plant Hospital campus, offering a full-range of outpatient medical imaging services and exams:

New services offered at Morton Plant Hospital:

• Functional MRI - Functional MRI is a type of physiological MRI used to help physicians understand which part of the brain handles critical functions such as thought, speech, movement and sensation. We use this technology to provide our neurosurgeons with important data prior to performing surgery of the brain. Learn more about The Neurosciences Institute.
• Spine Hardware Suppression MRI - Until now, patients with spine fusion devices have not been able to receive a MRI because the metal often obscures the image by casting a magnetic “shadow”.  Morton Plant Hospital is pleased to announce that we now offer a new MRI sequence that digitally removes artifact for those patients with spine fusion devices.  Ask your physician if you are a candidate for this new procedure.
• Minimally Invasive Interventional Procedures - The latest medically advanced image-guided interventional procedures for cancer, cardiac, neurological and vascular disorders are available at Morton Plant Hospital. Interventional procedures are minimally invasive which minimizes risk of infection, improves recovery time, and reduces hospital stays.

BayCare Outpatient Imaging Services

Morton Plant Hospital is affiliated with BayCare Health System, a leading community-based health system in the Tampa Bay area.  With 22 convenient locations, you won’t have to travel far to find one near you.

To schedule an appointment at any one of our BayCare Outpatient Imaging centers, including those on the Morton Plant Hospital campus, call (727) 461-8555, Monday – Friday, 7am – 6pm and Saturday 8am – 1pm. 

To contact the Medical Imaging Library, call (727) 462-7471, Monday – Friday, 8am – 6pm. Film or CD pick-up is available at any of our BayCare Imaging Service locations. Please allow 24 business hours for delivery to the imaging location that you will be picking up your CD or films.
